Castor Oil
For Solid Soaps: Helps produce lots of fluffy lather when saponified as a soapmaking base oil and acts as a skin protecting humectant when used as a superfatting ingredient. Contributes to: fluffy, stable lather, conditioning, moisturizing, quicker trace, softer soap.
For Liquid Soaps: An almost essential base oil for liquid soap formulas. Castor oil's unique high percentage of ricinoleic fatty acid provides high solubility. Adds excellent clarity and emollience.
For Body Care Uses: Castor oil is an excellent humectant, attracting and holding moisture to the
skin, preventing dry, chapped skin. Can help provide a glossy look to lip care products.
Castor oil may be stored at room temperature and has a maximum shelf life of at least 12 months. Likely, it can be properly stored for several years unopened without harm.
